White House Reveals Increase in “American Made” Manufacturing

Interested in Government Contracting?

February 14, 2023, Clearwater, FL – On Tuesday, the White House outlined an initiative to mandate that building supplies used in government infrastructure projects be produced in the United States.

Throughout the last few decades, a push to keep more of our manufacturing products and services American-made has been at the forefront of concern within the Washington, D.C. limits.

These new guidelines were said to guarantee the utilization of American-made “lumber, glass, drywall, and fiber optic cables. And on my watch, American roads, American bridges, and American highways are going to be made with American products.

For the last few years, “Buy American” laws have strictly focused on iron and steel manufacturing. But once finalized, these new announcements will apply to virtually all infrastructure spending supported by the Federal Government.

From roads and bridges to water infrastructure and high-speed internet, the Government is preparing to keep the materials and services used to come from right here in the United States.

But what does this mean for businesses attempting to work with the Federal Government?

In short, it means everything. If your business operations fall within the needs of the Government, this announcement means a massive increase in the opportunities available to win. For your business this could mean the ticket to growth and a solid foundation for the future.
