The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility. They announced today that they will be the first federal agency that is participating in Construction Inclusion Week, which is held this year on October 17-22.

This week, GSA will offer online outlets for discussion and involvement regarding the ongoing need for the federal government to promote inclusiveness in the construction industry. With this, there will be more opportunities in the construction industry for disadvantaged and minority-owned businesses.

GSA will emphasize its goals, which include:

  • Support GSA’s dedication to enhancing inclusion and diversity in the construction sector.
  • Create and build environments that are equal and accessible for both the public and those who work for the government.
  • Set the standard for Small and Disadvantaged Business contracting to promote supplier diversity and improved market success.
  • Grow and sustain the inclusive culture their industry needs to attract, retain and develop the best talent.
  • Engage local communities in the planning, development, and operation of their structures.

GSA manages a national real estate portfolio of nearly 370 million rentable square feet, oversees roughly $75 billion in annual contracts, and provides technology services that benefit millions of individuals across dozens of federal agencies. GSA also provides centralized procurement and shared services for the federal government.

Here at GSE, we can help you find those opportunities by securing Government Contracts with GovExpert, a vast marketing database with everything a company needs to take advantage of open government contracts.
