GSA/MAS Schedule Contract
The federal government uses various terms & acronyms. Here you can find and define some that you may encounter.

CAGE CODE: Number issued to a vendor to be recognized by the Government
SAM REGISTRATION: System for Award Management. To be eligible to take on a Government order either by a direct award or subcontracting, a vendor must go through the SAM Process to receive a cage code.
DUNS OR D&B: Dun and Bradstreet. The entity that issues an identification number to vendors. (AKA- Data Universal Number System)
EIN: Federal Tax Id issued to a company
GSA: General Services Administration
GSA Advantage: Government Purchasing System, AKA Government Buyers Amazon
IDIQ: Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity
MAS: Multiple Award Schedules (another acronym for GSA Schedules)
FSS: Federal Supply Schedules (another acronym for GSA Schedules)
VA: Veterans Administration
NAICS: North American Industry Classification System (Numbers correlated to a vendors competencies)
RFP: Request for Proposal
RFI: Request for Information
Open Bid Market: This is where businesses would find an opportunity and then write a proposal.
RFQ: Request for Quote. Often used for contracting vehicle holders.
SBA: Small Business Administration
TAA: Trade Agreements Act (This substantiates which countries the US Government can and will purchase from.)
