No, we are not affiliated with the government. We are a third-party consulting firm that specializes in helping small businesses obtain certifications, registrations, and certifications.

The processing time varies but is usually completed within 90 to 120 days. Of course, if clients are late or do not return the necessary paperwork, this process will take even more time.

The benefits of government contracting are endless. Some reasons you should look into Government Contracting includes:

  • Levels the playing field with larger businesses.
  • The opportunity to grow your business & network with other small businesses.
  • Access to billions of dollars that the Government spends on small businesses annually.
  • And More!

Steps we take to help you win contracts:

1. Register your business with the System for Award Management (SAM).

2. Acquire a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code. NAICS codes are a requirement for all businesses by the government and are used to categorize businesses, the industry they are a part of, as well as their financial records, tax obligations, and financial data.

  • Verify your EIN. The Government mandates the possession of Employee Identification Numbers (EIN) by businesses that receive federal contracts. Free Federal Tax ID Numbers are available from the International Revenue Service.
  • Get Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. Every business receives a CAGE Code, a 5-digit code used to identify your company.

3. Apply for your certification!

  1. Research Government agencies. You should conduct extensive research on the government sector you plan to apply for, their spending, procurement procedures, and general business practices. Use GovExpert, our vast marketing database with all the information accessible for your company to take advantage of Government Contracts.
  2. Fulfill the size requirements. The Small Business Administration (SBA) determines size requirements for every industry that clarify the qualifications of companies for a specific contract.
  3. Submit your bid. Keep in mind before you place your bid to study each contract in depth because the federal government adheres to its laws and guidelines diligently and have a deep understanding of the contract’s terms and conditions. These are important because you may lose your chance to submit a bid for a government contract and face legal issues if you do not.
  4. Get your response. Each proposal that is presented is carefully evaluated by the government. The review and response of your bid can take 30 to 120 days. Once your offer has been chosen, you will receive personal updates from the agency you will be working with.

We do not distribute grants or loans. At GSE we help you expedite registrations, certifications, and contracts. With that being said, to receive grants and loans from the government, you must be SAM Registered. We can help you get SAM Registered!

We do not assist in starting up businesses. We help small established businesses obtain certifications, registrations, and contracts.
